The Bridge House - Las Isletas was designed over an existing bridge skeleton that was restored for this purpose. The bridge rests on concrete columns that are on two platform bases of quarry stone and concrete and connects a large island with a smaller one. The house is primarily a single floor that is 80% floating over the lake. It is a volume of clean and contemporary design that maximizes the privileged position of practically levitating over the water, with large openings towards the views of Lake Cocibolca but at the same time with adequate protection from excessive sunlight and rain with wind that strikes in certain seasons. Due to its character as a bridge between two platforms or bases and having more than 80% of the project floating over the lake, there is no invasion to the natural environment of the islets which remains unaltered.
